Thanks Blackpanther, if you want to see more photo's of the complete ship you will have to ask Blueknight. I sent him a bundle of them instead of taking up space in the thread. Also if this worked right you will see a photo of my latest model a 53" wingspan DH-98 Mosquito. I have not flown it yet, still a couple of parts to put on it but, man does it have some thrust from those twin motors. As I said I am into most things RC Attachments:

That is a beauty Scarecrow! So you have RC for the air and sea, anything for the land? I used to fly RC planes (back in the day) with one of my Sgt.'s on the PD. Never flew a twin engine but I did see some one fly a 4 engine B 17 one time. Good work. I would love to see it in flight.

No nothing for the land ........yet. I just got back into the RC aircraft after a 25yr break. With the advent of high quality powerful electric power and the very reasonable prices. It is so much easier now a days. My basic trainer cost less than $150 complete with radio gear. I also got one of the new 2.4ghz systems that I can program 20 different models into for less than $300. The Mosquito completely set up minus the radio gear was less than $200. Just had to glue a few parts together and it was ready to fly in about 4hrs

Yamato update. I finally put the Yamato in the water today in Dougs neighbors pool. This was just a preliminary test to make sure the ballast was right and everything works the way it should. I was surprised with all the weight that the RC gear, 2 huge batteries and, smoke generator put in the hull I will still have to add about 3lbs of ballast just to get it to sit on the waterline. The motors work a bit too efficiently and if I give it full throttle it looks like a power boat. I guess I will have to tone down my throttle settings. I have the 4 motors on 2 separate channels. One channel each for port motors and starboard motors. I did this to help with steering in tight spaces and docking. This set up works so well that I can turn tighter just using the motors than with the rudder. The smoke generator works well beyond expectations and pours out great volumes of smoke. All in all I am well pleased with the overall result. Hopefully photo's in a few weeks when everything looks right on the water with the ballast.

Scarecrow, I cannot wait until you have the video of the ship on the water. Too Cool!! Now we just have to get you to bring a plane or 2 to D-Day..... Glad you are back on line my friend. Don't hesitate to call anytime you want to chat while you are touring the highways of this great nation.

Will do my friend though I am not sure that I have your number? Just been putting some ballast in the Yamato. Would have brought a couple of planes this year but wanted to make sure they travelled safely and did not get the box finished in time. I promise next year

Hey ghost, saw a RTF ( ready to float) comes with everything inc. radio 1/150th Missouri today. Very nice job just on the real expensive side at around $1800. I "KNOW" we can get you in the water for a lot less than that as long as you want to put in the work and time

Thanks Ghost and Blueknight. The ballasting was indeed a pain. With all the lead weights I had to put in the thing just to get it to sit on the water line, it now weighs about 25lbs.
